Some families claim connections to the Bell Witch or Resurrection Mary. Others insist they're related to Slag Pile Annie or Old Book. In my family, we have something better. We have Dudley Digges!
I finally found the correct record for my great-grandfather, but it wasn't a discovery to celebrate. My only thought was, "I hope this is all a mistake."
I expected 25%, but my DNA test revealed that I was actually 49% Irish. Had I made a research mistake, or had an ancestor been less than truthful somewhere along the way?
